Looks like my planned trip to Liverpool tonight may be off due to all the road closures. I'm beginning to worry about my chances of getting home at all, since the M56 is also closed!

There's panic here over how people are going to get home. It's hilarious.

It is a comical over-reaction. HR here have told everyone to go home early, and the emails going round make it sound like the apocalypse.

Barton Bridge and the Thelwall Viaduct are both shut.

Theres only 2 ways between the M56 and the M62 now, through the center of Warrington (which is already jammed) and over Runcorn bridge.

Choose wisely...

We just got an update from the council. Runcorn bridge is closed, and so are at least 5 roads in central Warrington. Lovely.....

In principle, the only road I need to get home is the M56, and so far its only shut at 12, which is one junction in the opposite direction...
