Knees and Football
Jan. 14th, 2010 08:58 amThe swelling round my knee was going down reasonably fast now I'm on crutches, but going to Anfield last night didn't help. All was OK on the flat, but on the slippy steps in the Kop it was a lot safer just to walk up them normally - cue more swelling. Hopefully it will have gone down by next Thursday so the hospital will do something other than tell me to come back in another 2 weeks.
The match was awful. The Liverpool players looked like they'd never played together before and the reserve goalie seemed to have a phobia of the ball. As someone yelled behing me "They're Reading not Real Madrid!" No tactics, no width and no committment. I don't know what the hell our new signing thought as he watched from the stands. The only bright spot was Aquilani who seemed to at least have a clue, and has gained the superhero nickname 'AquaLad'
