Catch up

Riftworld was lots of fun this weekend, in spite of various mask problems...have posted on Rule7 and may put more here at some point.

After collecting C. from Leicester train station on the way back, I helped my post-event recovery no end by visiting Kev & Anna in Leicester and going to the pub for some real ale and pizza. We eventually got home at 10 by which time my tooth was really starting to hurt again (temporary filling put in a month ago after stage 1 of treatment may be getting a bit dodgy - next appt on Thursday), so I didn't actually get to sleep until the Neurofen kicked in properly at 1am.

This morning was high adventure as we towed C's car to the garage.

I'm mostly doing brainless lab tasks today...my paren't are coming over for dinner tonight so must move the carapace armour and wet goat from the front room :)

Dinner was good, but we got a bit over-keen and cooked for 8 rather than 4. My seafood risotto was as good as ever, and C's first ever attempt at apple crumble was delicious. She was a bit overenthusiastic in serving it up in our biggest bucket-sized bowls swimming in custard - I am so very very full :)

You people are generally invited over to visit for pie and drinks...
