my head feels like there's a Frenchman living in it...

We had a friend round for dinner last night, so as well as my finely crafted feast (got a bit carried away with quantities as usual...) of tuna steak with prawn & mushroom risotto, we got through some beer, wine and port. Perhaps rather too much port for a school night, but it seemed rude not to... Fortunately I had a backlog of useful but brainless tasks to do in the lab this morning while my head cleared.

On arriving at work, I discovered an email from a strange man informing me that Christine had been buying screws from him on the internet!! Bizarrely this is true and is related to the ice axes and crampons the visiting friend left for me last night :)
