Living room looks twice as big after painting and removal of the heavy blinds from the window. Good progress made over the weekend, even though Sky was installed on Sat afternoon and I immediately started watching the cricket.

Have re-evaluated my assessment of the local pub, The Wharf, from bad to acceptable after visiting the alternative - The Slow and Easy which was dire. The Wharf has the advantage of being one minute's walk from the house :)
