That was the week that was
Oct. 21st, 2005 09:45 pmSong of Steel was pretty good - very much old-style, high fantasy LRP, which I've missed. I'll go back, and try to drag Mr Wilcox as well. I approve of any system where people drink port out of the bottle.
Week at work has been productive and yet frustrating. I have a meeting in November with a certain `Professor Sir...' from Cambridge, which determines whether my project gets funded next year. At the moment, its not very inspiring, so doing something else may be a plan.
Climbing has been fun - went twice last week, and managed to do a boulder problem that I've been working on for months. The bit where you are stuck upside down facing the ceiling and have to get your foot to where your nose is didn't make me fall off this time. Raar!
Plans for the rest of the month have been scaled back slightly after my car service came in at £450. Still going to Riftworld next weekend, where I will no doubt be terrorised and spend most of my time crawling round in the frozen mud. We pay them money to do this....
